Terms and conditions: Group online language course
1. The Services
Group Tuition: We provide live, online group language tuition. By enrolling, you acknowledge that lessons are conducted in a group format and the pace of the class is set for the collective benefit of all participants.
Fixed Schedule: Lessons take place at the specific dates and times advertised. We cannot alter the schedule for individual group members.
Technical Requirements: You are responsible for your own internet connection and device. No refunds are issued for technical issues on the participant's side.
2. Fees and Enrolment
Individual Fee: The fee is per person. Sharing access links with non-paying individuals is strictly prohibited and will result in removal from the course without a refund.
Payment: Full payment is required to secure your place in the group.
3. Statutory 14-Day Right to Cancel ("Cooling-Off")
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from the date of booking to cancel for a full refund.
Waiver for Immediate Start: If the group course is scheduled to begin within this 14-day window, you must expressly request to start early. If you then cancel after the course has begun, we will deduct the pro-rata cost of the sessions already delivered (whether you attended them or not).
4. Participant Absence and Cancellations
No Make-up Sessions: Because this is a group course, we cannot offer "make-up" sessions or 1-to-1 catch-ups if you miss a scheduled class.
No Partial Refunds: No refunds or credits are provided for individual sessions missed by a participant.
Course Materials: If a session is missed, we will provide recordings and a PDF file of the session presentation where available, at our discretion.
5. Minimum Group Numbers
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the course if the minimum number of participants is not met. In this event, you will receive a full refund of all fees paid.
6. Code of Conduct
To ensure a productive learning environment, all participants must behave respectfully toward the tutor and other group members.
We reserve the right to remove from the digital classroom any participant who is disruptive or offensive. In such cases, no refund will be given.
7. Intellectual Property
All course materials provided are for your personal use only. You are strictly prohibited from recording the live sessions or distributing our materials to third parties.
8. Liability
We provide these services with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control e.g., platform-wide outages of Zoom.
9. Data Protection
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy policy and the UK GDPR.
